Jaben’s son among four injured in group clash

JAMMU, Nov 20: Four persons including son of notorious gangster Jagdev Singh alias Jaben were injured badly in a group clash occurred today at Dharamkhoo in city outskirts, over a piece of land.
Police sources said that two groups comprising 2 persons each clashed with each other over a disputed land at Dharamkhoo when one of the groups started tilling the land. They said both sides attacked each other with sharp-edged agricultural tools with the intention to kill each other.
“All the four persons received grievous injuries and they were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for medical treatment, where after initial treatment, their family members took them to private hospitals in Punjab for further treatment,” sources said.
Sources said that the injured from one party were identified as Bhavishan Singh (48) alias Tina (ex-sarpanch of Malpur) son of Jagdev Singh alias Jaben and his cousin Vikas Singh (29) son of Rashpal Singh, both residents of Malpur while from other party, Pritam (38) son of Krishan Singh of Berha (Bhalwal) and his brother Utam Singh (40) were injured.
They said that two counter cases vide FIR number 93/2020 and 94/2020 under Sections 307/447/34 IPC, 4/25 Arms Act have been registered in this regard at police station Gharota and further investigation initiated in the case. No weapon of offence was recovered yet, sources added.
