JAMMU, May 10: J.P. World School Channi, Jammu organized open solo singing competition today.
The objective of the event was to bring out the hidden talent of students in singing by providing them opportunity to exhibit it.
The competition was presided over by the school Principal, Jitinder Singh Hundal.
Twenty  students from classes 9th to 12th took part in it. They presented their songs on different genres of music like sufi, classical and western.
Sehban enthralled the audience with his song ‘Bulla Ki Jaana Mai Kaun’ while Shabaz spell bounded the gathering by his heart touching song ‘Maula Mere Lele Meri Jaan’.
Principal of the school, Jitinder Singh Hundal announced the result. Sehban of class 12th (Commerce) was declared as winner while Ratinder Deep of Class 12th (Non Medical), Shabaz of class 12th (Medical) and Sandeep of class 11th (Non Medical) turned out as runner ups.
In his address, the Principal inspired the students to avail such type of opportunities provided by the school. He concluded his speech by saying, “Every child has potentials to do something beyond  imagination”.
