ITI employees demand DPC

Srinagar, May 7: All Jammu and Kashmir, ITI employees union today said that no Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of the ITI Department has been held for past several years, which has badly affected the functioning of the department.
A statement issued here said, “more than 60 per cent officers are working on stop gap adjustment from rank and file, which has badly affected training programmes.”
The union appealed the Government to utilize their efforts for conduct of the DPC and ensure the regularization of officers against the post they are holding and vacant posts are filled.
“There are many post lying vacant in the department after retirement of several employees for last many years,” they said.
