ITI employees delegation meets Vyas, Malik

JAMMU, Dec 18: A delegation of ITI employees United Front headed by its State President, Nazir Ahmed Molvi met Financial Commissioner, BB Vyas and Seceratery to Government for Technical Education, Pravez Ahmed Malik at Civil Secretariat here today and had detailed discussion on their long pending genuine demands.
The issues that came up for discussion in the meeting included holding of DPC meeting immediately, clearing pending promotions of both Gazetted and non-Gazetted officers, relooking at Recruitment Rules of different categories referred to the Administrative Department a few years back to incorporate changes in it and inclusion of Qualified existing Vocational Instructor in the specific grades 6500-10500 pre-revised.
The delegation also discussed other demands like regularization of all adhoc, contractual and consolidated employees who have completed seven years of service, regularization of those who do not qualify SRO-255, on the analogy of Rehbar-e-Taleem pattern with-in a fixed time frame, establishment of Examination Cell of ITI Sector in the Directorate by filling up of the identified post of Deputy Director and Training Inspector for the purpose, introduction of semester system, enhancement of salary of academic, consolidated and contractual vocational Instructors at least to the basic pay with grade pay or to Rs 12,000 per month, etc.
The delegation, which was comprised of Nazir Ahmed, Bushan Khajuria, Karan Singh, Naresh Sharma, Mubesher Hussain, Riaz Ahmed Ahanger and others, urged upon Financial Commissioner and Secretary, Technical Education, to consider their demands on priority basis.
