It takes years to get travel advisories diluted, major setback for tourism in last few days: Omar

National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah: We told Governor that there are rumours about 35A, 370, delimitation and even trifurcation, Governor assured us that in all these issues, no preparation is being made for any announcement.

SRINAGAR: Reacting to travel advisories issued by some countries to its citizens, discouraging travelling to Jammu and Kashmir following security alert, former chief minister Omar Abdullah said it takes years of effort to have these travel advisories diluted and the last few days have been a major setback for the tourism industry in the State.

Germany and United Kingdom (UK) have issued travel advisory for its nationals against visiting J&K.

Reacting to the development, Mr Abdullah said the same Germany that was so satisfied with the improvement in the security environment that they organised the Zubin Mehta concert in Srinagar a few years ago now issues a travel advisory to stop nationals from visiting the valley.
