JAMMU, Aug 30: Following the Income Tax surveys in their premises, the owners of Akash Institute’s franchise and Jammu Oncology Clinic today surrendered Rs 1.50 crore undisclosed income.
According to the official sources, Jammu Oncology Clinic being operated on the name of Dr Ashutosh Gupta’s father has surrendered Rs 1 crore undisclosed income while as Dr Bharat Raj Gupta has coughed-up Rs 50 lakh concealed income.
Jammu Oncology Clinic is situated at Krishna Nagar while as Dr Bharat Raj Gupta is running three branches of Akash Institute’s franchise—two at Gandhi Nagar and one at Kachi Chawani.
“Though the Jammu Oncology Clinic and Dr Bharat Raj Gupta have surrendered Rs 1.50 crore yet the documents impounded during the surveys would be put to scrutiny”, sources said while not ruling out the possibility of figure of undisclosed income rising following complete scrutiny of the documents.
