JAMMU, Oct 11: Income Tax Bar Association, Jammu today felicitated Income Tax Commissioner, J&K Circle, A K Thathai and Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) B B Singh.
Addressing a function organized in this connection, the President of the Association Advocate Sat Mehta desired resolution of the grievances of Bar members with the active involvement of senior officers. He expressed happiness that necessary changes brought in the data compilation of computerization system of the department have resulted in great relief to the tax payers.
He expressed satisfaction over the speedy work of installation of elevator in the Income Tax building to bring relief to the advocates, staff members and the tax payers.
Addressing the gathering, Income Tax Commissioner, A K Thathai assured that he will be accessible to the Bar members any time and if they face any difficulty in resolution of their professional obligations, they should not hesitate to approach him. He disclosed that he always endeared Jammu as his native place and his love for the place is of perpetual nature. He assured that desired changes in the working of the department would be brought about.
Commissioner (Appeals) B B Singh admired the hospitality of Jammu people.
General Secretary Advocate V K Grover said that Bar Association has high hopes of further strengthening of relationship bonds with the administration, resolution of grievances emerging from time to time and improvement of tax payers’ services.
All the officers of the department including Joint Commissioner R K Kakkar and Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar were present on the occasion.
