JAMMU, June 30: Administration has traced three Israeli tourists from higher reaches of Marakha Gali in Leh, where they had gone for trekking but, in the process, lost contact with their Embassy in New Delhi.
Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Prasanna Ramaswamy told the Excelsior that immediately after getting an SOS from the Israeli Embassy, the district Leh administration deputed teams to different places and located the Israeli tourists from Marakha Gali, where they were trekking and had lost communication.
Ramaswamy said all three tourists were brought to Leh and admitted in the hospital as they were suffering from “high altitude sickness”. However, they were stable now.
“We have arranged their (Israeli tourists) communication with their Embassy in New Delhi,” he added.
The tourists have been identified as Ms Ayelet Halael, Ayal Kogat and Yirmy Sesilber.
