JAMMU, Nov 7: In an impressive function, Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu released the Punjabi Magazine ‘Jhelum Da Pani’ in his Office Chambers, here.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Ishar said that the contemporary creative writings should integrate the ethos and stress should be laid on the scientific temper with innovative look of Punjabi language and literature.
Emphasizing on the importance of magazine, Prof Ishar said that the language is a medium of expression and stressed the need for qualitative Punjabi literature in association with other sciences.
A set of selected books was also presented to him on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr K S Inqulabi, Dr J S Sarna and Dr Monojit.
