UDHAMPUR, Nov 22: An IRP Jawan died when he was hit by a moving train near Tunnel number 19 on Jammu Udhampur Railway track.
According to the reports,
IRP SG Constable was on duty near Tunnel number 19 area of Jammu Udhampur railway track when he was hit by the Kota Rajasthan Train, which was on its way from Jammu to Udhampur, around 4.45 pm.
The deceased was identified as Chain Singh (40), son of Jagannath, resident of village Chulana Panchari, at present Sambal Dangha Udhampur.
Railway Police shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur where it was hand over to the family of the deceased after postmortem.
Railway Police registered the case and stated investigation into the case.
Meanwhile, in another road accident at Khoon Majalta, a motorcycle collided with a Mahindera vehicle causing serious injuries to motorcyclist Ravi Kumar (19), son of Roshan Lal of Jakhanoo and pillion rider Lekh Raj (28), son of Isher Dass of Babey. The injured were shifted to PHC Khoon.
