INTWF demands pension, other facilities for STRC employees

JAMMU, Sept 28: Indian National Transport Workers Federation (INTWF) has demanded pension and other facilities for the employees of State Road Transport Corpora-tion (STRC).
In a press conference here today Amrik Singh Sasan, Federation Secretary demanded release arrears pending to the SRTC employees since the year 1999 and also benefits of seventh pay commission.

He also informed that many employees of SRTC have not received salaries for the last 2-3 months while some of the employees who have retired since the last one year were not given retirement benefits like gratuity etc.
Singh further said that the Association has also met Advisor to the Governor and Principal Secretaries to Transport, Finance and Planning Departments and MD of SRTC regarding their demands but nothing fruitful has emerged till date.
