Intrusion bid foiled, one nabbed

JAMMU, Dec 13: The BSF last night foiled an infiltration attempt by a group of four to five militants in Ramgarh sector of Samba district and apprehended a former Pakistan army personnel while other militants retreated to Pakistan.
Official sources said alert jawans of the BSF noticed movement of four to five militants inside Pakistan territory close to the International Border in Ramgarh sector last night and became alert. They fired para illuminating bombs to lit up the area.
Finding the BSF jawans alert, the militants, who were trying to infiltrate into the Indian territory under the cover of dense fog and thick sarkanda growth, retreated to Pakistan. The BSF later apprehended a intruder as he kept on moving towards the Indian territory even after firing of warning shots towards him. The intruder escaped unhurt and was captured.
He has been identified as Mohammad Baksh son of Feroz Din R/o village Gandiyal in Parsroor area of Sialkot district of Pakistan. He had served in Pakistan army and is now a pensioner.
From his possession, BSF recovered two currency notes in 500 denomination, two identity cards, one small knife and a paper with “CMA Lahore Cantt” written on it with pen.
Further investigations in the case were in progress.
