Intruder shot dead in Uri

Srinagar, Feb 10: An intruder was shot dead by the security forces in Uri sector of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district today.
An official said that last night army shot dead an intruder who was observed moving suspiciously near the fence at Dulanja post in Uri area.
An official said that the intruder has been identified as Sarfraz Mir, 56, son of Sain Mir of Kundibarjala Kamalkote.
Born in the 1960s, the man had crossed the LoC in early 1990 and then returned in 1992, the officer said. He had then surrendered in 1995 and went back to Pakistan in 2005.
An ID card issued by authorities in Muzaffarabad along with a weapon has been recovered, he said.
