JAMMU, Mar 26: International Master Athlete Surjit Choudhary from Jammu and Kashmir was honoured by DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, in recognition of his outstanding achievements at the Khelo Masters Games held in Chandigarh.
Choudhary showcased remarkable athletic excellence by clinching two gold medals in the 100 meters and long jump events, along with a bronze medal in the triple jump. His consistent performances have established him as one of the leading master athletes from the region.
The athlete has maintained an impressive record at the Khelo Masters Games over the years. In 2024, he secured three gold medals, while in 2025, he added one gold and two silver medals to his tally. With his latest achievements, his overall medal count in the event now stands at six gold, two silver and one bronze medal.
Apart from his national success, Choudhary has also excelled at international competitions, winning several medals and bringing laurels to the country. His dedication, discipline, and passion for athletics continue to inspire budding sportspersons across Jammu and Kashmir.
