International Justice Day celebrated

UDHAMPUR, July 17: Govt Degree College Chenani in collaboration with Environment and Social Welfare Society Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh and Unity of Nation Action for Climate Change Council (UNACCC) Gujarat today celebrated ‘International Justice Day’ under Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.
The program was live streamed on YouTube.
Prof Sangita Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor University of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh was the chief guest on the occasion. In her address the chief guest highlighted the issue of gender justice as the full equality and equity between women and men in all spheres of life.
Dr Rajat Sharma, Chairman Unity of Nations Action for Climate Change Council was the special invitee, whereas Harveer Singh, District Judge Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh was the special guest.
Adv Ehtesham Hashmi, member of Supreme Court Bar Association of India deliberated at length on different areas of criminal justice and reiterated that law enforcement is the next element of the criminal justice response and its purpose is to prevent, detect and investigate firearms offences.
Dr Sameer Joshi, Imran Ahmad, DSP Lalitpur, UP, Dr Ashwani Kumar Dubey, Executive secretary of Environment and Social Welfare Society were resource persons of the event. The event was convened by Dr Pragya Khanna, Principal of GDC Chenani.
