JAMMU, Apr 29: Nirvana Academy today celebrated International Dance Day which was supported by the International Dance Council of UNESCO at auditorium of Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawani, here.
President Nirvana Academy on the occasion read the official message for Dance Day 2016 given by Alkis Raftis, President of the International Dance Council CID, UNESCO Paris that “Dance Day 2016 is dedicated to maintaining an open doors policy in teaching dance”.
A special lecture on the importance of dance among the participants was delivered by chief guest R.C Puri, Secretary IRCS Jammu Region.
Audience witnessed dance forms from the various skilled and professional young dancers from different institutes of the city.
A seminar was also organized on the occasion in which choreographers and dance instructors like JR Sharma, Sunil Sharma, Raj Shavtora, Vikas, Amit Kumar, Smiley Tanuja, Goldy Kalotra, Sanjeev Magtora, Anu Bhardwaj and Gurvinder Kaur took part.
