JAMMU, May 6: Maharaja Agrasen University organized International Conference on “Emerging Trends in Basics and applied Sciences”.
The conference was inaugurated by the chief guest Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana. Dr Nand Kishore Garg, Chancellor of Maharaja Agrasen University presided over the inaugural function. Dr ADN Babpai, Vice Chancellor of HPU, Prof (Dr) SP Bansal Vice Chancellor, MAU, Jagdish Mittal, TR Garg, OP Goel, Satish Gupta, Satish Garg, office bearers of Maharaja Agarsen Technical Education Society, Suresh Gupta, Project Incharge, Rajinder Gupta, MD Luxmi Publications, Delhi and Harish Gupta, MD, Trishala Builders Zirakpur were also present.
Haryana Governor in his address highlighted the relationship between science and applied science. He told the delegates that the 21st century is the century of science and laid emphases on the importance of technical education in modern world.
Dr Nand Kishore Garg said that University follows the path shown by Maharaja Agrasen Ji and its aim is to make quality education affordable to all.
Prof (Dr) SP Bansal said the said that the objective of the Conference is to provide a common platform to young scientists and researchers in India and abroad to deliberate on various issues relating to potential of modern technological advances in the field of applied science.
On the occasion the first issue of “International Journal of Basic and Applied Scientific Aspects” published by School of Maharaja Agrasen Basic and Applied Sciences was also released.
Dr ADN Bajpai was presented a citation for his significant contribution in the field of Higher Education.
Jagdish Mittal, in his poetic style addressed the gathering about bond between sciences and applied sciences.
In the conference, 150 delegates from India and abroad are participating. About 100 research paper will be presented by the delegates.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof RK Gupta, Convener of the Conference.
