JAMMU, Nov 12: A two-day international conference began today at Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
The first international conference on Structures, Materials and Construction (ICSMC 2021) is being organised in online mode by the Department of Civil Engineering, JUIT in collaboration with Institution of Engineers (IEI) Shimla Chapter, Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS) Shimla chapter, Atria Institute of Technology (AIT) Bengaluru, The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) India, and Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Chandigarh Chapter.
The conference is receiving extensive participation from industry as well as from premier academic institutions across the globe. Thousands of research papers in the field of Civil Engineering have been received by Dr Tanmay Gupta, Conference Chair, ICSMC 2021. The conference centres on technological advancements in the field of Structural Engineering, innovations in Construction Materials, and modern Construction Practices. It aims to bridge the wide industry-academia gap in the field of Civil Engineering.
Dr Kong Kian Hau, National University of Singapore will be the chief guest for the event and he will be taking out time to share his experience and knowledge with all the participants. Besides, nine other eminent speakers will be giving insights on various topics related to the conference fields. More than 90 papers will be presented during the event.
