Govt capable of fulfilling aspirations of people of J&K: Col Mahan

KATHUA, Nov 12: District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Kathua, Col (Retd) Mahan Singh conducted a public meeting at Nagri Parole to get first hand appraisal of the issues and problems of the people in this constituency and address the same.
During their interaction with the DDC Chairman, people raised a range of issues and sought immediate redressal of the same. The main issues raised by the people included those pertaining to drinking water, solid waste management system, drugs menace, electricity supply, roads, bifurcation of ration cards, establishing additional Mandis and completion of check dam work at Nagri Bajooh.
Col Mahan Singh gave a patient hearing to the people’s concerns highlighted during the meeting. He assured them that he would take up their grievances and issues with the concerned authorities and get them addressed at the earliest.
The DDC Chairman asserted that the Union Government is working on the agenda of overall development of every nook and corner of the nation with special focus on the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that this government has the full capability of fulfilling all the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Among others who attended the meeting include District Development Council Vice Chairman Raghunandan Singh Bablu, DDC member Sandeep Majotra, BDC Chairperson Khazan Chand, MC President Anil Andotra, Sarpanchs, MC Corporators besides farmers, youths and ladies in large numbers.
