UDHAMPUR, May 10: 3-day District Level Inter-Zonal Tournament for Under-14 and Under-17 boys and girls in the disciplines of kabaddi, volleyball, wrestling and kho-kho concluded at Subash Stadium, here today.
Yasha Mudgal, District Development Commissioner Udhampur was the chief guest on the occasion.
242 boys drawn from 11 different zones of District Udhampur took part in the Tournament.
Earlier, in kabaddi Under-17 boys final, Dudu zone defeated Udhampur by (19-10) points, while in kho-kho Under-17 boys, Udhampur zone defeated Jib by 1 point and in volleyball Under-17 boys, Udhampur zone got better of Babey zone by (2-0) sets (25-15, 25-20).
In wrestling Under-17 boys, the gold medals went to Dhyan Chand, Rakesh Kumar, Mulkh Raj, Pupinder Singh and Ishtiyaq Hussain.
The tournament was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the overall supervision of Sukhdev Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Udhampur and under the supervision of Ram Lal Badyal, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Kulwanta.
All the matches were officiated by Pawan Kumar PEM, Raj Kumar PEM, Kuldeep Sharma PEM, Ajay Sharma PEM, Rakesh Modi PEM, Pushp Kumar PEM, Raj Kumar Gupta PEM, Shashi Bala PEM, Anita Kumari PET, Raman Kumar PET, Rakesh Khajuria PET, Kulbushan Kumar PET, Rishi Sharma PET, Vikrant Balgotra PET, Raman Kumar PET and Reena Gupta PET.
