UDHAMPUR, Sept 21: Police arrested an inter-district drug peddler in Rehambal and recovered 15.67 grams of heroin from his possession, here today.
According to Police, a team of Police Station Rehambal, led by SHO Purshotam Kumar while conducting routine naka checking at Phlata, intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number HR72A-5700.
On thorough search of the driven, identified as Mohd Arif, son of Mohd. Ayub, resident of Birshella, District Doda, 15.67 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession following which he was arrested on the spot.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 145/2025, under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal. Further investigation in the case is in progress.
