New Delhi, Sept 3: IndianOil Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and gusto at Refineries HQs of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. at New Delhi recently.
Sanjiv Singh, Director (Refineries), geared-up his team for the challenging times posed by the deregulation of the market. “Every refinery of ours has to be profitable; and for that we need to think and act beyond the traditional concepts and ways of working”, remarked Mr. Singh.
Fostering a culture of creativity and innovation, the Divisional level awardees of IndianOil’s Suggestion Scheme were also felicitated by Director (Refineries) on the occasion. The team from Mathura Refinery, comprising of Manish Kumar, Senior Mechanical Engineer and Ashok Kumar, Mechanical Engineer, was adjudged the winner of the Best Suggestion of the Year; while K.S. Kannan, Senior Power & Utilities Engineer, Guwahati Refinery was honoured with the Best Suggestor as well as the Most frequent Suggestor of the Year awards. Mamata Sahoo, Senior Manager (ER) Panipat Refinery was adjudged Best Coordinator.
Extending heartiest congratulations to all the winners, Singh said, “Each one of us can work and add value to the Corporation, in our own small way. So let us spread the culture of creativity and innovation all across the Refineries Division as well as the entire Corporation.”
