Inaugurates newly constructed hall

JAMMU, May 25: Member of Parliament, Jammu Lok Sabha constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with Mohan Lal Bhagat, MLA Akhnoor, and Rajiv Sharma, former MLA Akhnoor, today inaugurated a newly constructed hall at Government Middle School Boys Pacca Danga Bazaa, Akhnoor. The hall has been constructed under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development (MPLAD) Fund.
Addressing the gathering, Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the demand for the construction of the hall at Government Middle School Pakad Yar, situated in the central area of Akhnoor, was raised by the local residents who highlighted the urgent need for such a facility. Responding positively to the public demand, the MP sanctioned Rs 15 lakh from the MPLAD Fund for the construction of the multipurpose hall.
The newly constructed hall was formally dedicated to the people of the area during the event by the MP.
While addressing the public, Jugal Kishore Sharma emphasized that infrastructure development plays a central role in the economic growth and progress of any region. He further stated that the Jammu-Akhnoor road was narrow, congested, and accident-prone, and its widening into a National Highway was a major demand of the local residents. He added that the Jammu to Akhnoor four-lane road is now constructed and in completion, significantly benefited the people of the region and the widening work beyond Akhnoor to Sunderbani Rajouri to Poonch is also progressing including several tunnels and steep erections. He also said many projects like Indri Pattan to Pargwal bridge, rods under CRF, Hospital, Degree college and other projects under PMGSY are also in progress and in completion.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Akhnoor Mohan Lal Bhagat assured the gathering that he remains committed to resolving public issues. He reiterated that he is always available among the people and dedicated to serve both the regions and the nation.
Rajeev Sharma former MLA complimented Member of Parliament and MLA for their dedication and support and said that their regular visits will always benefit the people of the region.
