Infighting in coalition has paralyzed administration: Sheikh Rehman

JAMMU, Sept 26: The Samajwadi Party (SP) State chief and former MP Sheikh Abdul Rehman today lambasted the Coalition Government in the State for its failure on all fronts.
Talking to reporters here today he said there is a visible contradiction in the policies and progammes among the coalition partners and infighting among them has paralyzed the administration with the result the problems of the people have been compounded.
He alleged that the Government was befooling the people on the name of visible development while there is rampant corruption and growing unemployment has led to the desperation among the youth. The Government has failed to initiate action against the corrupt Ministers and bureaucrats against whom cases have been registered in Vigilance Organization, he added.
Sheikh Rehman said NC led coalition is keeping its tradition of murdering democratic institutions like Panchayats, Local Bodies, municipalities, State Accountability Commission, RTI etc alive as Panchayats have not been empowered till date .
Referring to opposition parties he said BJP and PDP are busy in their communal and regional politics.
He also accused the Congress of raking up the issue of 1947 refugees just before the elections to befool the people but they are fully aware of this game plan of Congress as the Party has failed to do any thing for them in last 65 years.
Sheikh Rehman said his party in J&K will expose both coalition as well as opposition parties and give a new positive direction to the people.
He also welcomed the decision of his party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav to support the UPA Government at Centre from outside till formation of Third Front. He however, said the parlays are going on for the formation of Third Front at national level.
Ram Singh Chauhan, Amrit Varsha, Pritam Gupta, Sheikh Mohammed Shafi, Inderjit Labru, Sham Lal Mahasha, Preeto Devi and others were present in press conference.
