JAMMU : An infant was killed while seven others sustained injuries when thecar in which they travelling in rolled down in a deep gorge near Samroli in Udhampur district of Jammu division, early this morning, police sources said. “The car met with an accident at around 0530 hours when the driver of vehicle failed to negotiate a turn and it rolled into a deep gorge at Samroli in Udhampur resulting in death of one month old child and injuries to seven other occupants,” a police officer told over phone from Udhampur. He said, “On receiving the information the police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation and evacuated injured to nearby hospital for the necessary medicare.” (AGENCIES)
