JAMMU, Feb 2: The 6-day Induction Training Programme organized at SPMR College of Commerce under Employment and Skill Enhancement Scheme of Higher Education Department, concluded today.
The Programme was organized by Government SPMR College of Commerce in collaboration with Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) for 55 students (45 of Commerce College and 10 from BEd College) under the chairmanship of Secretary Higher Education, Talat Parvez Rohella.
A team of eight Resource Persons conducted the training programme. Varun Upadhaye from Art of Living (AoL) reflected on individual development through meditations, creative games, breathing techniques and awareness talks through Student Excellence and Learning Program (SELP). Prof Anjali Mahajan, Prof Aksa, Prof Neeraj Dubey, Prof Veena Rani, Sanjay Pandey, Pankaj Sharma and Dr Manu Arora were the other resource persons.
In the valedictory ceremony, Secretary Higher Education motivated the participants to inculcate the knowledge and experience which has been imparted during the training programme in their lives. He touched at length the topics taken up by the Resource Persons.
Principal of the SPMR College, Prof Ranjeet Singh Jamwal encouraged the participants to participate in such life expressing activities which will help them to face new challenges of life.
The programme was also attended by Director Colleges, Nodal Principal, other faculty members from Art of Living namely Rohit Ranjan, Ritvik Mahajan, Akshita Sharma and Ajay Kapoor, AoL J&K coordinator for Bureau of Communications, DDC and SSRDP-Government projects and Nodal Coordinator from GCET Dr Anita Brar and her team.
The programme was coordinated and conducted by a team of from Commerce College comprising Prof Archana Kaul, Prof Rashmi Arya, Prof Deepshikha and Prof Shahima.
