It investigates allegations of breaches of human rights in the countries which are UN members and addresses important human rights issues such as freedom of association and assembly, freedom of expression, freedom of belief and religion, women’s rights and the rights of racial and ethnic minorities and added that this organization was established by the UN General Assembly in 2006 replacing the UN Commission on Human Rights and is since then working on its mission of safeguarding the human rights in the member countries.
