Indian Oil’s installations get international recognition for safety

JAMMU, July 13: Indian Oil’s firm resolve and dedication towards Safe Operations at its installations has been recognized at the highest level with several operating locations awarded by the British Safety Council with the International Safety Award of Merit-2018.
Indian Oil’s LPG Bottling Plant in Lakhimpur Kheri and POL Terminal in Mughalsarai in Uttar Pradesh, Leh Depot and Zewan Depot in Jammu & Kashmir and 15 other locations across India have received the prestigious award.
With the potential for accidents and mishaps in oil and gas installations being extremely high, ensuring safety becomes of paramount importance.
The conferring of award to several Indian Oil installations reflects the corporation’s resolute commitment towards internationally accepted Health, Safety and Environment practices and is a symbol of Indian Oil’s leadership in the oil and gas industry.
The British Safety Council’s International Safety Awards recognize and celebrate organizations from around the world which have shown a real dedication to keeping their workers and workplaces healthy and safe during the 2017 calendar year.
It is pertinent to mention here that the British Safety Council is a world-leading expert in workplace health, safety and environmental management.
