Indian Democracy

Sir,
This is with reference to the article “Indian democracy on cross roads of history” by Harsh Dev Singh, 29th Oct DE. A fine overview of the present state of democracy in India.
A similar outcome of Democracy was predicted by N A Palkhiwala way back in his book ” We The People”. It is sad that a clear mandate to rule has proved to be so damaging that even Judges of the Court had to pass comments on the state of affairs as over a case of detention of a young girl in Karnataka for posting a comment on WhatsApp. B2V programmes by Union Ministers are being pronounced loudly but without any feedback or “action taken report” on the previous visits of the Union Ministers under B2V programmes. The author deserves an applause to have become so meaningfully vocal after leaving Panthers Party.
