India will become world’s fifth largest economy under PM Modi: Sinha

JAUNPUR: Minister for Communications and Railways for State Manoj Sinha has claimed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country will soon beat England and become the world’s fifth largest economy.

Addressing the media late Sunday evening, Mr Sinha said, “It is a matter of pride for us that the nation has become the sixth largest economy in the world and the day is not far when we will be placed as the fifth largest economy after beating England.”

Saying that the poll bugle was about to be sounded, he said that there were many issues in every election but only one or two of them affected the polls, adding that the biggest issue was that of leadership and no one had the courage to oppose theirs.

The BJP leader said that there was no match of the state government and the party, while claiming that the opposition parties of the country had no base or belief among the voters.

Attacking the opposition further, Mr Sinha said that both ‘leadership’ and ‘achievements’ were missing in them, adding that the opposition alliance built on ideological differences and a disparity of policies and principles wanted to establish a weak government in the country which gives further impetus to corruption.

We do not want a weak, but a strong government in the country, Mr Sinha said.

Speaking on the extension of 10 percent reservation to economically backward classes in education and jobs, he said that they form a big section of the country which expected the Modi government to do something for them.

Underlining the progress under the BJP, he said that Chicago used to have a 12-lane road but now, the same was also being made on the Meerut-New Delhi route.

Talking about the interim budget presented in the Lok Sabha, he said that the Modi government was dedicated towards the aspirations of the poor people, farmers and youth of the nation.

Terming the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana for farmers having less than two hectares of land as a historic step, the Minister said that under the scheme, an approximate 12 crore farmers will be provided 6000 rupees every year from a budget of Rs 75000 crores by the Modi government.

Welcoming the increase in the income tax exemption limit to five lakhs in the interim budget, he said that the middle class people will reap the maximum benefit out of the scheme.

Underlining other significant steps, Mr Sinha said that every Lok Sabha area in the country will have a passport center at the end of this month.

The BJP leader claimed that the party will get more seats in 2019 as compared to the earlier elections, adding that Mr Modi will become the PM again.
