NEW DELHI: Days after Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appointed 22 parliamentarians as special envoys to raise Kashmir issue in major capitals across the world, India today blasted Islamabad, saying that this exercise cannot legitimate their baseless claims.
The External Affairs Ministry also took on Mr Sharif for writing a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki- moon, in which he has objected to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks over the human right situation in Balochistan and the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
“Human right situation does not stop at our border. If raising the issues relating to human rights would be questioned, several leaders will come in the dock,” MEA official spokesperson Vikas Swarup said in his weekly media briefing. (AGENCIES)
