DHAKA: India men’s hockey team emerged champions of the Under-18 Asia Cup after defeating host Bangaldesh in a thriller here today.
The Nilam Sanjeep-led Indian team registered a 5-4 victory over Bangladesh in the finals of the seven-nation tournament.
With scores levelled at 4-4 and with just 20 seconds left, India scored in the dying moments of the game to clinch the issue.
Earlier, India had thrashed Pakistan 3-1 in the semis yesterday to enter finals of the Under-18 Asia Cup. (AGENCIES)
