‘Increased retreat ceremony at IB to boost tourism’

JAMMU, Feb 15: BJP J&K Executive Member, Raman Suri has said that decision of BSF to increase ceremonial parade of Retreat Ceremony from two to four days in evening on Wednesday and Thursday in addition to Saturday and Sunday at International Border (IB) in Suchetgarh will boost tourism.
In a handout the BJP leader said that considering the increasing number of tourists visiting the international border, the BSF officials took the right decision.
Suri urged upon the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha to build bigger pavilions at the location of Retreat Ceremony in Suchetgarh so that the capacity of visiting tourists can be increased and more people can be accommodated there.
He said that Tourism Department should also be roped in and asked to put in more facilities for tourists to enjoy the ceremonial parade.
