Sir,
Kind attention of the Chief Minister is invited to the present prevailing situation of the market rates of essential commodities which are soaring high to the sky day-by-day. He is requested, to kindly be in a mood of relent to think for a while that the despondent pensioners who are in a deplorable and destitute condition in their advanced age during the hard and tough period especially when the market is exorbitant everywhere and not in a position to face hardships at the present sputnik stage.
It was really providing a succor to the desperate persons like us who have been facing and living in despicable and miserable condition.
The demand for enhancement of medical allowance was really from the date when it was Rs 100 only per month and with all out efforts it was hiked upto Rs 300 only by the then Finance Minister of People’s Democratic Party. Since then the price index has gone up 15 fold and we have been getting Rs 300 per month only as Medical Allowance. Till date no Government paid any heed to the State Govt. employees as well as State pensioners with regard to increase of medical allowance from Rs 300 only to Rs 3000 only.
Presently the doctors charge fee of Rs 300 to Rs 500 per visit excluding medical check up, tests and medicines which costs beyond our expectations. Life is hard, stiff and fast and one has to face it. The Government employees are getting medical re-imbursement while the old aged retired pensioners have been ignored. The previous Government did nothing when all the times, the pensioners went on roads for their genuine demands.
It is, as such requested, to kindly increase medical allowance upto Rs 3,000 per month instead of Rs 300 which is a meager one and release pending 6% DA with effect from July, 2009 upto ending December 2009, keeping in view the market rate which has certainly gone up 15 fold.
Yours etc…
