JAMMU, May 19: All India Backward Classes Union has appealed the Bar Association Jammu to include New Recruitment Policy, Tawi Lake Project and Social Justice into its agenda for agitation besides AIIMS for the sake of solidarity over the main issues.
This was urged by AIBCU during a meeting, held here today under the chairmanship of its president Abdul Majid Malik.
“Who are the BJP and PDP to impose the New Recruitment Policy to fill up the substantive and clear vacant posts by contractual appointments. Available posts have their budgetary provision, then why a candidate working against such a post shall get a meager amount against the available budget. The motive of the Govt is “All the rulers & bureaucrats” must get their hefty salary and the common people should be forced to live a life of starvation to draw a sharp line between the rulers and the common people,” the meet observed.
The AIBCU also rejected the Cabinet Sub Sub-Committee under the chairmanship of the Dy Chief Minister and alleged that Dr Nirmal Singh was always keeping mum over the main issues. “He always goes by what the Chief Minister says and that is why there is a hue and cry over AIIMS, Tawi Lake and above all the matter of social justice of the State OBCs,” the meet said and alleged that the BJP’s U-turn over the pre-poll agenda is nothing but to quench its thirst of power.
Those who shared their views in the meeting included M Arfan Poonchi, Gulam Rasool Najar, H D Betab, Puran Chargotra, Master Sain Dass, Deepak Panday, S Rajinder Singh, Sandokh Chand, Bodh Ram Dogra and Prof Kali Dass.
