JAMMU, Dec 27: A delegation of Incharge Principals and +2 I/C Lecturers, led by Amar Nath Thakur, called on Secretary School Education Ajeet Kumar Sahu and submitted him a charter of demands.
The main demands in the charter discussed, include regularization of all incharge cadres, installation of CC TV cameras in all School Examinations from Ist to Class 12th to remove the menace of copying, implementation of 7th Pay Commission in favour of RMSA, SSA and RET teachers, implementation of rational transparent transfer policy, transfers of teaching staff in winter zones as per transfer policy, DPC of all non teaching cadres at the earliest, filling all vacant posts of CEOs, ZEOs, Principals, Lecturers, Headmasters and Masters, adjustment of surplus Lecturers/ Masters and release of their salary and the salary of head teachers and teachers working under SSA, not deputing teachers to perform other duties like BLOs, election duties at the cost of student studies, creation of HRM cell as per the directions of State Administrator Council in the department and at Directorate level, sanctioning supporting staff in all hanging zones of the State and reliving all teachers engaged in the ZEO offices and implementation of Career Progression Scheme (CPS) in favour of +2 Lecturers.
After hearing all demands Secretary School Education assured that all incharge cadres of School Education Department are being regularized and orders in this behalf will be issued shortly while Human Resource Management Cell has been approved by SAC and cell will be established in the department to maintain seniority of all cadres and their timely promotions. On the non vocational status to Principals, Secretary said that he will look into it.
The delegation comprised of Ram Parkash Sharma (president Principals Forum), Ravesh Saraf (Member State Central body), Prem Nath, Mohd Yaseen and Rajesh Gorkha, District co-coordinators of Samba, Ramban, and Udhampur, respectively.
