Jammu, Sept 30: A thirty member delegation of I/C Lecturers Jammu, led by Amar Nath Thakur, State Chairman SEECC(A), called an Education Minister Altaf Bukhari and MoS Education Priya Sethi at Jammu and submitted their demands besides copy of compiled data of 957 Incharge lecturers from Kashmir and 543 from Jammu division, except District Jammu, Rajouri and Samba.
The delegation requested the Education Minister to take regularization issue on priority level to regularize 7000 Incharge cadres, including Joint Directors, CEOs , Principals, ZEOs , Lecturers and Headmasters who have not been regularized since 2007 till date . Thakur submitted that data of 957 Incharge Lecturers has been displayed on the official website twice in Kashmir while in Jammu the process has been completed and the same must be displayed on official website of DSE Jammu of all cadres. The matter of non regularization of Incharge Lecturers in Science stream, who have acquired PG degree through correspondence, was also discussed in detail. Thakur requested Education Minister that all Incharge cadres promoted before 2017 must be regularized through Cabinet decision as one time relaxation in one go.
After listening to the delegation, Education Minister said that the exercise for regularization has been started by constituting a regularization cell for the purpose. He assured the regularization at the earliest possible. Later, the delegation also called on MoS Education Priya Sethi and discussed with her the issues in detail, particularly the issue of drop out I/C Lecturers of Science subjects. A member of the delegation said that some of his batch mates were promoted as Principals since 2009 but he was still not regularized. Priya Sethi said that she would surely take up their cause. A memorandum of the demands was also submitted to Education Minister.
The delegation, comprising of Des Raj, Tara Mani, S Parveen Singh, Inderjeet Gupta, Ravesh Saraf, Bharat Bhushan Pandita, Kumar Ji Raina, Ajay Bhatt , Romal Singh, Prem Verma , Pawan Lal, Rakesh Sharma, Ravinder Saini and others also called on Director School Education Jammu.
