UDHAMPUR, Nov 6: DIG Udhampur-Reasi range Sujit Kumar has suspended Incharge check post Manwal and disengaged two SPOs.
As per police sources, a video made by a trucker at Manwal check post in district Udhampur went viral on social media in which two policemen at check point were clearly seen taking entry from truckers.
Taking serious cognizance of the matter, the Incharge Check Post Manwal has been suspended and attached to District Police Lines with immediate effect.
Both the SPOs visible in the video are disengaged from the service with immediate effect and a department enquiry against SHO Majalta has been initiated to ascertain the facts in this matter.
The suspension of Incharge Check Point and disengagement of SPOs viz departmental enquiry have been ordered by DIG Sujit Kumar.
