JAMMU, Feb 6: The Department of Management Studies of the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), organized a seminar on “Women Empowerment”, here today in the campus.
While speaking on the occasion, Prof J R Dhotra, Director IMS, explained the condition of the women and their role in the upliftment of the society at length.
Prof S K Gupta, Director IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell), said that such events offer a common platform to share the views and experiences.
Students from MBA, MCA, BBA and BCA presented sixteen papers on women empowerment, covering education, health, various barriers, and position of women in corporate world. All the speakers showed their concern about the various barriers which come in their way.
All the faculty members and students participated in the function. In the end, Asstt Prof Nazli Watali presented vote of thanks.
