Scholars threw light on battle of Karbala

JAMMU, Aug 5: An impressive procession to commemorate the 7th day of Moharram martyrdom of Shahzada Qasim (a.s) was taken out from the residence of Late Syed Mazhar Ali Shah under the banner of Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu.
A Majlis was organized before the procession which was addressed by Moulana Syed Ghulam Hussain Rizvi from Iran Culture House New Delhi. While addressing the gathering of mourners he explained the value of all the 72 martyrs who laid down their lives in Karbala – “a battle against oppression of Yazeed”. He further stressed upon the teachings of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and the supreme sacrifice of Shahzada Qasim (a.s) for the sake of truth and justice.
He further said that one can learn from the history of Karbala that how to be a victorious when you are oppressed. He added “When you are on the path of Allah no force can oppress you”.
During the procession mourners were reciting Nohas and Marsiahs to pay tribute to Shehzada Qasim (a.s). At Imam Bargah, New Plots the mourners offered Namaz-e-Magribain and a Majlis was also organized by Anjuman-e-Haidery, New Plots which was addressed by Molana Zaffer Mehdi from Muradabad. Maulana in his address said “We should follow the path of Imam Hussain (a.s) and always stand firm against the oppressor,” he added.
President Anjuman-e-Imamia Syed AmanatAli Shah while addressing the media said that Karbala is a thought that cannot be deceived. He added that every scholar and historian mentioned this sacrifice of Imam Hussain (a.s) and his 72 companions as one of the greatest sacrifice of the centuries.
President, Anjuman-e-Haidery, New Plot, Shakeel Karbalai said “We are responsible to spread the message of Imam Hussain (a.s.) to the mankind that we should always stand with the oppressed class irrespective of the religion or section”.
Vice president, Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu said that it’s our duty to spread the message of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and why he sacrificed his whole family with his 72 companions at Karbala. This is one of the greatest sacrifices in the history of Islam.
Prof. Sujat Khan, secretary Anjuman-e-Imamia complimented the people from different regions like Rajouri, Poonch, Surankote, Chanderkot, Gursai, Mandi, Loran, Kashmir, Kargil and Ladakh and organizations like Anjuman-e-Haidery New Plots, Anjuman-e-Hussaini Bathindi, ALMSAJ, AKSAJ and Shaheed Mutahri Library New Plots, MEWSL and people of different faiths who have participated in the procession to pay tribute to Imam Hussain (a.s) and all the martyrs of Karbala.
The proceedings were conducted by Syed Ayaz Naqvi, joint secretary of Anjuman-e-Imamia and he also delivered the vote of thanks.
