JAMMU, Sept 29: State NCC Directorate bid farewell to Maj Gen SS Jakhar ADG NCC J&K at an impressive farewell function held at NCC Academy Nagrota. Maj Gen Jakhar will retire from service on his superannuation on 30th September.
Major General Sudhir Singh Jakhar is a second generation Army Officer and an alumnai of National Defence Academy commissioned into Rajput Regiment in December 1979. He is a graduate of the Defence Service Staff College Wellington, Post Graduate Diploma in Personal Management and Industrial Relationship from DIMS, New Delhi and is also qualified as Interviewing Officer for Services Selection Board.
An impressive Guard of Honour was presented to him by NCC cadets at Nagrota.
Maj Gen SS Jakhar will hand over the reins of NCC to Maj Gen N Kumar tomorrow.
