Implement Law Commission’s recommendations: Lecturers

SRINAGAR, Nov 20: J&K PCS Lecturers Association today demanded that the recommendations of the J&K Law Commission with regard to the SRO-202 should be implemented at the earliest without any further delay.
A press statement of the Association issued here said that a meeting of J&K PSC Lecturers’ Association was held at Srinagar in which the top leadership and all the district representatives participated to impress upon the Government to implement the recommendations.
“…During the meeting, the administration was requested to implement the recommendations at the earliest to provide relief to thousands of SRO-202 employees in general and +2 lecturers in particular,” the statement said, adding that the administration is also requested to take measures “in order to revoke it (SRO 202) permanently.”
The Association said that the move will encourage highly qualified youth to work with enthusiasm and exuberance. It (the Association) said that it retrieved its long pending demands vis-à-vis grant of ACP and issuance of much awaited senior lecturers’ list, which is pending since 2014. It also hoped that the issues would be resolved in the shortest possible time for the relief of aggrieved lecturers.
