JAMMU, July 5: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) has urged the State Government to implement 7th Pay Commission report as accepted by the Central Government.
President of the Federation, Abdul Majid Khan said that though Central Govt employees are not satisfied with the decision of the Centre and they are agitating for more amenities and facilities to meet their genuine needs and aspirations, the LPEF has full sympathy with their struggle for just a cause. He said the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission give some relief to the employees and pensioners as such it is humble appeal to the State Chief Minister to implement the 7th Pay Commission recommendations in the State.
Referring to the statement of the Chief Minister that employees will have to wait for two years in this regard, the LPEF leader said that it has disappointed the employees and the pensioners of the State. He appealed the Chief Minister to reconsider her decision and implement the new Pay Commission on the Central Govt pattern as early as possible.
