KATHUA, July 5: Basohli Police arrested two persons namely Sudesh Kumar and Suresh Kumar in two different operations with 40 and 41 pouches of JK Excise Liquor respectively.
During naka checking at Bani road near FCI store, Police Party of Police Station Basohli intercepted one load carrier Mahendra bearing registration No JK02E-2248 and during checking recovered 40 pouches of Desi liquor (J&K EXCISE ) 250/250 ml each from the possession of Driver Sudesh Kumar S/o Amir Chand R/o Duggal Teh Bani.
A Case under FIR No 50/2016 U/S 48(a) Excise Act WAS registered at Police station Basohli against him.
In another operation Police Party of Police Station Basohli arrested namely Suresh Kumar S/o Daleep Singh Thakur R/o Gadodi Panchayat Jano tehsil Basohli from Rehni area at Bani road and recovered 41 pouches of JK excise Desi liquor from his possession. A case under FIR No 51/2016 under 48(a) Excise Act has been registered against him. Both the operations were conducted by SHO Basohli Inspector Kulbir Singh Chowdhary under the supervision of Dy. SP Shivender Singh SDPO Basohli and overall supervision of SSP Kathua Neeva Jain.
