Impart quality education to students: Guv to teachers

SRINAGAR, Sept 4: Governor Satya Pal Malik has greeted people  particularly the teaching fraternity on the occasion of Teachers’ Day which is celebrated in honour of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, an eminent Indian teacher, philosopher and statesman who served as the first Vice President of India (1952–1962) and the second President of India (1962 to 1967).
In his message, Governor observed that Teachers’ Day is a very special occasion for recognizing and paying tribute to the vital role played by teachers and honouring eminent teachers for their contributions in varied fields of learning and research.
Governor observed teachers are a very important element of the society and deserve high respect for their instructing and grooming the upcoming generations. He called upon the entire fraternity of teachers to put in their best efforts for imparting quality education to the youth and, besides, also encourage their holistic development.
