Immediate settlement of refugees issue demanded

JAMMU, Sept 14: A meeting of Refugees Sadar Sabha and Akhil Bharatiya Saraswat Brahman Sabha was held here under the chairmanship of Kewal Krishan Sharma chief patron of the Sabha in which it was decided that hunger strike by Pawan Sharma a member of the organization will be extended to 72 hours.
Mr Sharma said that Government should immediately concede the demands of refugees.
He demanded that there should be no discrimination in distribution of relief with Jammu region which has suffered more loss of human lives, the Jammu employees be rescued immediately, settlement the issue of refugees of 1947, 1965, 1971, judicious distribution of Central assistance of Rs 1100 crore among flood victims of the State and immediate relief and rehabilitation of flood victims.
