DODA, May 9: Thathri police seized illicit timber logs and 10 bags of fertilizer here today.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Thathri police station led by SI Ravi Parihar conducted raids in Bankaanthawa and Gosti villages in Tehsil Chiralla and seized 16 illicit timber logs and 17 illicit timber scants from Ravinder Singh, son of Lakhmi Chand of Bankaanthawa and Farooq Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid Lone of Gosti Chiralla respectively.
Police team arrested both the accused on the spot.
A case under FIR number 28/15 and 29/15 under Sections 379 RPC and 6 Forest Act has been registered at police station Thathri and investigation started.
Meanwhile, police team from Thathri police station also seized 10 bags of illicit fertilizer (IFFCO Company) from the shop of Abdul Majeed, son of Mohammad Shafi Lone of Bajja, Tehsil Chiralla at Sewa Chiralla.
A case under FIR number 27/15 under Section 3/7 Essential Commodities Act has been registered at police station Thathri against the accused and investigation started.
