JAMMU, May 9: Defeating GHS Sarna comfortably by 4 wickets in the summit clash, Government Boys Higher Secondary School Samba lifted the title trophy of the Zonal Level Inter-School Under-17 boys Cricket Tournament, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Office Samba.
Deepak Kohli and Yash Paul of GHSS Boys Samba contributed 40 and 22 runs to the winning total respectively.
The Tournament was held under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports, Navin Agarwal and under the supervision of Subash Chander Bharadwaj, DYSSO Samba.
All the participants of Samba Zone participated in the tournament with total number of 60 players from all over the Zone.
Dr Digvijay Khajuria was Vice Chairman of the tournament, while ZPEO Samba, Rakesh Verma was the organizer of the event.
The officials present on occasion were Anirudh Singh, Rekha Sambyal, Keshav Singh, Kulbir Singh, Bhopinder Singh, Zorawar Singh Sambyal, Sandeep Singh, Raj Kumar, Naresh Sharma, Asha Devi, Apurva Chandra, Suman Bala, Ravi Singh and Vinod Sharma.
