UDHAMPUR, Sept 9: Udhampur Police today seized 38 pouches of illicit liquor from Bus Stand area in Udhampur and arrested the bootlegger.
The accused has been identified as Makhan Singh of Ladha, tehsil Chenani. He was carrying the illicit liquor in a polythene bag and smuggling the same to his native village for selling it violation of J&K Excise Act.
In this connection, a case FIR number 339/2014 under Section 48A Excise Act has been registered.
