KATHUA Feb 9 : In continuation to drive against illicit liquor, Kathua Police today seized 10 liters of illicit liquor and destroyed 300 litres of desi lahan in Rajbagh and Nagri area respectively in two separate raids.
Acting on a tip off, Police team of Police Station Rajbagh led by SI Mohinder Singh today conducted a raid at village Banyari area and recovered 10 litres of illicit liquor from the possession of one Rajesh Kumar, S/o Ganju Ram, R/o Lacchipur Marheen Kathua. Police arrested the accused and seized the illicit liquor. A case FIR No 28/18 U/S 48(a) Excise Act was registered at Police Station Rajbagh in this regard.
Meanwhile, a team of Police Post Nagri led by SI Vikas Jasrotia incharge Police Post Nagri today conducted a raid in Sakte Chak area falling in the jurisdiction of Police Post Nagri and destroyed 300 litres of lahan recovered on the spot.
